Ronnie Hill has a passion to see people respond to Jesus! He was saved at the age of 8 and was baptized into the First Baptist Church of Brazoria, TX. It was not long until his gift of evangelism began to show, as he was never bashful about asking anyone about his or her relationship with God. He also learned early about the power of prayer when he saw his dad saved in answer to his fervent intercession.
It was at the age of 14 while Ronnie was attending youth camp at Falls Creek, Oklahoma that he sensed God’s call to the ministry. The very next Sunday morning when his dad, and now his pastor, extended the invitation at the Rubottom Baptist Church in Oklahoma that he walked the aisle to surrender to that call. As the folks in that community will tell you, that place has not been the same since. Dozens of people came to know Christ as a result of Ronnie’s witnessing and preaching. He has been an example of a life committed to Christ. Throughout his high school years his call remained sure as he seized every opportunity to share Christ one on one with friends as well as preaching in youth led revivals, meetings, and even through pulpit supply.
God called him to Eastman Baptist Church in Oklahoma as a youth pastor during his freshman year in college and was on staff for a year and a half before being asked to travel with Kelly Green Evangelistic Association in 1987 while attending Oklahoma Baptist University. Ronnie transferred his junior year in college to be closer to the ministry base and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mobile in 1990. He graduated in 1993 with a Master of Divinity with Biblical Language degree and then went back in 1999 and graduated in 2001 with his Doctorate of Ministry degree, both from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. Throughout his academic training, Ronnie stayed on the road full-time as an evangelist.

It was during the ten years with Kelly Green that Ronnie believes God instilled in him a solid foundation for ministry and evangelism, as well as the importance of being a man of integrity. During this time, not only did he work with Kelly, but as time allowed began speaking on his own, forming Ronnie Hill Ministries. Toward the end of his ten years with Kelly, Ronnie began to feel the prompting of the Holy Spirit to launch out on his own full-time. Since leaving KGEA in 1997, God has continued to use Ronnie in all kinds and sizes of churches, from small to mega churches, from area-wide crusades to the rural country church. Small or large, he continues to preach the message of Christ with conviction and power touching the hearts of people young and old.
Ronnie preaches an anointed but simple message of salvation and repentance; that it’s the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that through His blood alone, we are saved. Speaking from the heart, Ronnie believes, ‘It was God’s sovereignty that chose me and I know that it is God that draws man to Him, not me!’ Paul said, “When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:1-2).
